ನಿನ್ನ ವಾಸನೆ ಸೂಸಲಿ ಈ ಚಾದರದಲ್ಲಿ……
ನಿನ್ನ ಮೈವಾಸನೆ ಸೂಸಲಿ ಈ ಚಾದರದಲ್ಲಿ
ನೆನಪೆಂಬುದು ಬೇಡ ಇರುವಾಗಲೇ…
ಹಾಗೆ ನೋಡಿದರೆ ನಾವು ಕೂಡಿದ್ದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ
ಕಂಡೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.ಎಣಿಸಿದ್ದು ಮಾತ್ರ
ಏನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಡೆಸಿರುವೆವೆಂದು.
ನೀನು ಬೆಳಕ ಪುತ್ಥಳಿ,ಒಂದು ಅನನ್ಯ ಪರಿಮಳ,
ಬೆಳಗೇ ತಲೆಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಪಾರಿಜಾತ.
ನೀನು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಮುಖಿ ಕೋಲು ಬೆಳಕು
ಮೈಯ್ಯ ಕತ್ತಲೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಚಿ ಎಳೆದು ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣ ಮುಚ್ಚಿದವಳು.
ಮಲೆಯ ಒರತೆಯಂತವಳು.
ನಿನ್ನ ಮೈ ವಾಸನೆ ಸೂಸಲಿ ಈ ಚಾದರದಲ್ಲಿ.
ನೆನಪೆಂಬುದು ಯಾಕೆ ಇರುವಾಗಲೇ.
ಜಿನುಗು ಜಿನುಗುತ್ತಲೇ ಸುಖ ಸಂಕಟ
ಇನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೇನೋ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲದ ಸದ್ದ ಅದುಮಿ ಹಿಡಿದವಳು.
ನೀನು ಕಳ್ಳಗುಟ್ಟಿನ ಹೆಣ್ಣು, ಹೆತ್ತ ಎದೆಯವಳು
ಚೂಟಾಟದ ಹುಡುಗಿ, ನಡುವೆ ಎದ್ದು ಮೈ ಕೊಡವಿ
ಮತ್ತೆ ಅಣಿಯಾದವಳು.
ಏನೂ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದವಳು,
ಎಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲ ಕಲಿಸಿ.
ನಿನ್ನ ಮೈ ವಾಸನೆ ಸೂಸಲಿ ಈ ಚಾದರದಲ್ಲಿ
ನೆನಪೆಂಬುದು ಯಾಕೆ ನಾವು ಇರುವಾಗಲೇ.

It’s good to know there are poets still alive who can write so tenderly about a woman!! I was fed up with all those pessimistic fellows who only keep writing about their angst, their raw emotions and the big bad world gobbling them up blah blah blah and what not – so self centred!! What is it that makes you write with such innocence-filled heartache? I’m really curious.
